Details of the 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera
With a best-in-class combination of efficiency, performance, and daily use, the Porsche 911 Carrera is a great everyday car for people who like a little thrill. Carrera models of the 2017 Porsche 911 Coming Soon feature a sharper exterior design and the new Porsche Communication Management System.
The Porsche 911 Carrera uses a three-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that makes 370 horsepower. The same engine makes 420 horsepower in the Carrera S, a significant increase over previous models. Opt in for the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission and the Sport Chrono Package, and your 911 Carrera will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 in just 4 seconds. Design details include active air flaps in the front cooling air intakes to further improve aerodynamics and reduce drag and lift.
The 2017 Porsche 911 Coming Soon comes with a mode-switching rotary dial that offers “Normal”, “Sport”, “Sport Plus”, and “Individual” driving settings. Optional Lane Change Assist uses radar sensors to monitor blind spots at a speed of up to 155 miles per hour, and will alert the driver with a visible signal in the mirror attachment point finisher.
The 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and Porsche 911 Targa 4
The Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and 4S and 911 Targa 4 and 4S are the all-wheel drive variants of the 2017 Porsche 911 Coming Soon. With the all-wheel drive model being popular with over a third of buyers, Porsche has stepped up to demand to further improve performance, style, and safety. Carrera 4 models get even better acceleration numbers than their rear-wheel drive counterparts, and can handle even better under tricky road conditions or maneuvers. The 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Targa come with a two-disc clutch manual transmission with even better handling, though the PDK transmission is also available. The new optional Sport Exhaust System is also available.
