Diesel engines have been very popular in most parts of the world and the U.S. is finally starting to catch on.  Not only is diesel fuel more efficient, but it is also less harmful to the environment than the regular petroleum gasoline we use.  Audi has long been the premier diesel engine manufacturer and has recently announced they will be releasing several new diesel models into the American market.

The new diesel models include the Audi A6 sedan, A7 sports sedan, A8 ultra-luxury flagship, the Q5 crossover and the Q7 seven-seater SUV.  The Q7 diesel has been available since September of this year for the 2013 model year.  We can expect the new A8 diesel sometime during the spring of 2013 and the A7, A6 and Q5 will be the last ones released for the 2014 model year sometime in the fall of 2013.

Audi does not create mundane diesel engines.  Their diesel engines are turbocharged with double the amount of torque than a regular vehicle.
